The Polish Council of Ministers adopted the bill on tachographs

13-04-2018

On April 12, 2018, the Council of Ministers adopted the bill on tachographs. Its primary purpose is to adapt Polish law to the provisions of Regulation (EU) No 165/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council on tachographs used in road transport and repealing Council Regulation (EEC) No. 3821/85 on recording equipment used in road transport and amending Regulation (EC) No 561/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the harmonization of certain social legislation relating to road transport.

The bill unifies and brings together in one law the provisions regarding the use of tachographs. Currently, issues regarding analogue and digital devices are regulated by the Law on Measure and the Digital Tachograph System. The new project covered all requirements for both generations of tachographs, which will improve the consistency and legibility of regulations in this field.
