During the last meeting of the CORTE group, which took place on June 15 in Brussels, information on the second generation (G2v2) smart tachographs was announced. According to this information, the Galileo OSNMA system will not be ready this year, so transitional tachographs will appear first. The proper tachographs are to appear next year with a possible delay to 2 years. The OSNMA software update for transition tachographs is not mandatory.
