The Road Transport Inspectorate reminds you to replace tachographs

04-03-2024

The Road Transport Inspectorate reminds that by the end of 2024, vehicles used in international road transport must be equipped with intelligent tachographs of the second version.

Failure to exchange will make it impossible to continue providing international road transport, and failure to comply with this obligation will result in a financial penalty of PLN 10,000 for the transport company and PLN 2,000 for the transport manager.

To avoid the risk of postponing the obligation to replace the tachograph with an intelligent second version until the end of the year, the Inspectorate recommends replacing the equipment without undue delay. At the same time, the Inspectorate  would like to inform that such an exchange is not necessary only if the vehicle will be used for domestic or international transport without crossing the borders of other Member States (e.g. Poland - Ukraine).
